How do I choose the right jetboard for me?
If you’re new to the world of motorized surfboards, welcome! With great stability, buoyancy and flexibility, Radinn jetboards are easy to learn on and a great option for beginners and family fun! Here are some tips on choosing the perfect jetboard for you.
1. Choose the right board model.
The shape of the board will influence your riding style. With Radinn, you can choose between 3 different models, each of which are available in two different colours!
Explore is the most durable and stable board, but this makes it slightly less agile and means a little less speed. Perfect for beginners, it’s designed for reliability and built to last. Produced in impact-resistant plastic to prevent wear and tear.
Freeride is a slightly shorter board. It has great agility, which makes it the most versatile of our products. Fun for beginners and pros alike. The innovative hull design slices through chop and guarantees a fun ride in practically any conditions.
Carve is our fastest and most agile product. Its high-performance design makes it perfect for intermediate and advanced riders. The Carve board’s responsive shape allows you full control using your heels and toes.
2. Choose your jetpack.
You can choose between two jetpack options, the G3 Standard or the G3 Pro. If you are a beginner, a G3 Standard is likely the right one to begin with. Remember that Radinn boards have a modular design, which means you can always buy an upgrade kit later if you feel like you need more power.
3. Choose your battery.
You can choose the Standard, or Extended Range powerpack, with approximate ride times ranging from 25 to 45 minutes—pick the one that suits your needs! As always, if your needs change over time, you can always buy an upgrade kit.

Riding your jetboard: Everything you need to know
“Instant happiness—that’s how we’d describe the adrenaline rush of trying a jetboard for the first time. A wave of euphoria when you first stand up on the board. The initial shakiness of finding your balance disappears, you shift your weight and experience how the jetboard reacts to your movements. You take your first turn, gain confidence by the minute and accelerate until you’re riding at top speed. You come into shore beaming from ear to ear, and already craving your next ride.” - Radinn
If you’re a winter sports enthusiast, the carving experience you get with a jetboard may remind you of snowboarding down a powdercovered mountain. If you’re more of a wakeboarder, you’ll be pleased by the freedom a jetboard can bring you—no need to depend on a boat to ride anymore! Have fun!
Our jetboards perform best in calm waters, where they can reach speeds of up to 56 km/h, depending on the model and options. Waves and wind create resistance that slows down your ride and may prevent you from reaching maximum speed. Especially for beginners, it’s easier to start out in calm conditions and slowly get accustomed to controlling the board and keeping your balance.
Please always check with local authorities about restricted areas and respect no-wake zones (e.g., in port areas). Be extra careful in areas with a lot of boat traffic and respectful when swimmers are around.
Before traveling with your jetboard, be sure to check the regulations of your destination, as they may differ from the rules at home. Radinn jetboards are electric powered, though, so you don’t have to worry about the fuel-powered water sports ban in certain countries. However, note that if you travel by plane, your electric jetboard will not be allowed on board because of its batteries. Refer to your country’s legislation for more information.
Your jetboard weighs about 45 kg, including the battery, and it’s not built for big waves. Its magic is best experienced in calm waters, where you can be in full control of your speed and agility. Riding in choppy waters or the wake of a boat is more difficult, but it can be exciting too if you’re looking for a more challenging experience.
Use the handheld remote control, which connects to the jetpack via Bluetooth. Press the throttle to accelerate and reduce pressure on the throttle to slow down. The throttle of the remote is quite sensitive, so you can adjust the power seamlessly. Accelerating and decelerating slowly and steadily will help you avoid falling when you’re first starting out.
To get a feel for your board when you’re first starting out, we recommend lying down on it or kneeling. As you work toward standing, speed will be your best friend—acceleration stabilizes the jetboard, which makes it easier to stay upright.
When you ride, you’ll wear a leash that’s connected to the board with a magnet. If you fall into the water, the magnet will disconnect, cutting off the board’s power. Then you can simply climb back on your board, reattach your leash to reconnect the power, and continue on your adventure!
Yes! There’s nothing like the sensation of exuberant freedom that you get when riding on cold winter waters. Or go for a fantastic autumn ride and bask in the majestic and colourful landscape.
The durability, performance and stability of your jetboard means you can ride all year long, even in cold winter waters surrounded by icy scenery! But keep an eye out for ice—it can be dangerous. You shouldn’t ride once the water starts to freeze over, even if it’s only partially frozen. Depending on where you live, that may mean that you can ride from spring to fall, but have to skip the winter season.
Product specifications
The body of the board weighs between 8.9 kg and 15.45 kg (19.5 lbs. and 34 lbs.) depending on the model. The complete board can weight about 45kg, which is why our board bags come on wheels.
Boards can carry up to a maximum weight of 120 kg.
Our boards can go up to 40 km/h with a G3 Standard jetpack and up to 56 km/h with a G3 Pro Jetpack, depending on the board model.
Maximum speed is also affected by external factors, as bumpy water and wind can inhibit your speed.
We strongly recommend wearing a helmet and impact vest when riding your jetboard.
